About The Course
On August 1st, 2017 the Faria family started a journey of transformation. Steve, Rick, Danny, Danny Jr. and Mike Faria envisioned Tulare Golf Course with all the amenities of the valley’s best Country Clubs, that is designed for our Ag and blue-collar communities.
Tulare Golf Course is a 6,762 yard, 18-hole layout with Bent Grass Poa greens, Bermuda fairways, and tees. The elevated greens on the front nine will challenge even the best ball strikers. Our fairways are outlined with Eucalyptus and Chinese Pistachio trees, and the course plays much tighter than the 127 slope from the blue tee markers. We feel confident in saying that Tulare’s track is one of the toughest in the Central Valley, yet still remarkably enjoyable to play.
Grand Re-Opening
Memorial Day weekend 2018 was a big day for the course as we re-opened the newly designed Pro Shop. Gone are the days of wood paneling that welcomed our golfers for over 40 years. You will no longer see carbon-paper credit card slips and calculator tape in the shop.

We have worked very hard to give every golfer a full retail experience. The shop has partnered with some of the best brands in the industry. Travis Mathew, Greg Norman, and Nexbelt too name a few. Add True Linkswear footwear, our women’s and jr.’s apparel, and we can outfit every golfer from head to toe. Anything we do not have in stock we can special-order for you, and we are also an excellent resource for any golfers gifts, including gift cards.
The Player’s Club is our full service repair shop. The expert shop staff can help you from a custom fit set of irons to a full shaft swap on your current clubs. Our trained staff can perform any task from regripping to bending forged irons with our loft and lie machine.
We welcome the major equipment brands to the shop as well. Mizuno, Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland/Srixon, and Titleist clubs, Scotty Cameron, Evnroll and Bettinardi putters are all here. Our goal is to handle every aspect of the golfers’ needs at the best possible price.
If you are in need of a little extra distance, custom clubs are not the only way to help. A Superspeed Golf clinic has be proven to increase swing speed by as much as 12%. That could equal as much as 25 additional yards.
Every transformation is a journey that takes time, and we will continue to grow and improve our community. As of September 10, 2018 we’ve rolled out a brand new fleet of Yamaha golf carts with everything the modern golfer could want, from USB chargers to the Tulare Golf Course YamaTrak GPS app. We will continue the improvements and remodel, bringing new changes as often as possible.
We’ve already redesigned the 10th hole layout, moving #10 tee box east ten yards creating a soft dogleg right. The #9 hole is completely changed with a new tee box, and completely rebuilt green. The hole plays 40 yards shorter, however it has four new bunkers to force the golfer to consider a risk vs reward option. We renovated the 7th hole green, widening one of the most challenging par 3’s from Sacramento to Bakersfield, and it will be open to the public February 2022. Our 8th hole tee box is now moved next to the 7th green, to provide a tighter dogleg left and making it the longest par 4 on th ecourse. Even aesthetic changes like brand new restrooms and improved cart paths are in the works.
